Residential Swimming Pool Inspections

HomePro Inspection, Inc. offers residential swimming pool inspection services in Chattanooga, TN.

Roger Williamson, an ASHI-licensed home inspector, electrical contractor, and former Facilities Superintendent of Maintenance, applies more than 20 years of experience to assess any necessary maintenance and ensure that your pool is free of potential hazards.

What type of residential swimming pools do you inspect?

I prefer to perform home swimming pool inspections in Chattanooga on open swimming pools. Open swimming pools are currently in use, uncovered, filled completely with water, and in which the bottom of the pool is visible. If your pool is open when I perform a residential swimming pool inspection, you’ll receive the most information from the inspection. Please note: The home swimming pool inspection does not include opening the swimming pool or uncovering the pool for the inspection.

What does a home pool inspection entail?

A residential swimming pool inspection is an additional service performed during a routine home inspection, typically for individuals buying a property with an existing pool. I perform a visual inspection of the pool at the time of inspection. Things I visually check for include potential structural problems such as cracks and other external issues that might undermine the safety of your pool.

Please note that the scope of the home pool inspection is limited. This means that I can help assess whether your pool needs a more thorough inspection by an expert with experience in pool maintenance. I do not disassemble or tamper with pool components, such as pool filters or pumps. As a result, I cannot give a diagnostic report on individual pool components and their working condition. I also do not assess the pH or chemistry of the water in your pool.

However, my residential pool inspections in Chattanooga do include a visual assessment of important safety features, such as pool barriers, and an assessment that your pool has the essential components, such as a filter, pump, and more. With more than 20 years of experience, I can help you pinpoint red flags that might dampen your enjoyment of your pool, and can help protect your investment in your new property.
