Please let me introduce myself. I am Licensed Home Inspector, Roger Williamson, ACI (ASHI Certified Inspector) of HomePro Inspection. I performed my first professional Home Inspection in September of 1994 and now have more than 20 years of experience as a professional Home Inspector. I am proud to tell you that my first clients still own and live in their home more than two decades later.
Before becoming a professional Home Inspector, I earned years of experience in the construction trades. Although I no longer perform electrical work, I still hold an Electrical Contractor's License in addition to my Home Inspector’s License. My construction experience was helpful, but nothing beats the wealth of experience and knowledge I have gathered inspecting homes daily over the last 20 plus years. In fact, every year I inspect more homes than most builders will construct in their entire career.
HomePro Inspection adheres to the Standards of Practices and Code of Ethics of the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI), International Association of Certified Home Inspectors (InterNACHI) and the State of Tennessee Home Inspection Standards of Practice. Please see the FAQ section for a printable version of the complete Standards of Practice for ASHI, InterNACHI and the State of TN.
HomePro Inspection uses computer generated reporting so that all of the wording is typed and in an easy to read narrative format. Digital pictures are included in your report to add clarity for those hard to describe defects. Every inspection is important to me. I prepare your home inspection report so that you will know what I saw during the inspection.
Thanks again for taking the time to look at this HomePro Inspection website. I look forward to working with you on the purchase of your home and performing a thorough home inspection for you. Because each home I inspect is like a member of my extended family, I hope you will properly maintain your new home so that it will last a lifetime or longer..
Why is a Home Inspection so Important?
With more than 20 years experience as a professional home inspector many clients ask if I have seen it all. You might think so, but often while inspecting a home or commercial building I still find that people have invented new ways of doing something incorrectly. Additionally, advancing technology and engineered building products have created installation instructions that are quite complicated and are ever changing. Contractors often struggle to stay current with the proper construction techniques.
Relax; most needed corrections discovered during a home inspection are to prolong the life of the building. Many items reported are for general safety reasons. In some cases, however, there are corrections needed to prevent the loss of the structure or for life safety concerns.
As a seasoned Home Inspector I do occasionally see great workmanship. I truly appreciate the hard work and impressive results that our area craftsmen take the time to perform. They are few and far between and deserve every ounce of respect and praise for a job well done.
